Burundi
Kayanza
Fair Trade
This coffee was introduced in Burundi by Belgium around 1870, and since then was like a roller coaster, having a very erratic production until 1960, when the country gained his independence. The coffee, like other sectors were not thought to be a good investment and crops were abandoned or torn apart. But in 1990, after the civil war ended, coffee emerged to lead the recovery of the agrarian sector, and now they are producing around 160,000 bags a year.
This particular region is mainly microlot, producing a bean with a flavor of fig, citrus and floral aftertaste, with medium acidity and medium body, especially for a dark roast perfect for an all day coffee due to the medium low acidity and caffeine.

They produce a coffee which is hand-picked and offers dark chocolate, orange and caramel notes, with a creamy medium body and a clean finish after taste. An excellent choice for all day coffee.
Huehuetenango
Guatemala
Fair Trade
Generally, women do not enter the coffee business by their own election but as a result of revolution, coups or big catastrophes that resulted in the disability or death of husbands, fathers, etc., which is typical of Central and South America at moments when these women were in a position to help themselves and the environment afloat. The local government had no interest in helping, fortunately now several international organizations stepped in and helped them. Due to this reason and the quality of the coffee they produce, we would like to introduce HUEHUETENANGO coffee.
